We influence other people every day of our lives, intentionally or not. Every conversation we have and every interaction we have with another person is an influencing opportunity. This might be as simple as asking directions from a stranger in the street, or being interviewed for a new job. Sometimes, influence is exerted in a matter of seconds and in other situations it is exerted over many hours. This booklet provides a broad overview of the whole subject of influencing others at the conceptual level. It also looks at how influence is deployed in general and then specifically in four particular style types -the visioner, the orchestrator, the regulator and the harmoniser.
