'Dead News' is a team simulation exercise which asks a group to investigate the murder of the CEO of a large media conglomerate called MediaLink. The team's role is to work as investigators to examine seven murder suspects - including the person that the police have already arrested.
In this exercise, individuals are asked to gather clues that are provided in the background notes to the case (contained in the participant's booklet) as well as from the newspaper article on the fire that caused the death.
Participants will need to employ a number of competencies, including:

• Decision-making
• Critical thinking
• Creativity
• Communication
• Negotiation
This simulation takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours to complete (depending on how much time the facilitator allows) and is extremely valuable to run as an experiential learning exercise as part of a leadership or teambuilding program, a change management session, a problem solving workshop or before a major creative input session.
